What's the difference between American Community, Blue Cross and FORTIS?

All plans offer doctor co-pays, prescription co-pays, excellent Emergency Room coverage, and Major Medical. While there are different Blue Cross plans offering various coverage percentages, the Alliance Choice 80/60 plan is the one that compares to the American Community Medalist plan and the FORTIS RightStart PPO. In the event of a Major Medical claim, American Community can save you as much as $3,000 over Blue Cross and $1,000 over FORTIS. Emergency room visits with American Community have no co-pay in the event of an injury while Blue Cross will charge you $100. With American Community, if a family meets their deductible 2 times in a calendar year, no additional deductibles apply. With Blue Cross you must meet your deductible 3 times in a calendar year before no additional deductibles apply. In favor of Blue Cross, doctor visits are cheaper than American Community. While this is a brief description of the differences between the companies, we will be happy to explain full details in person or over the phone.
